Covid-19 Vaccination: On June 21 i.e. Yoga Day, India had set the record for the most anti-corona vaccines. However, the very next day itself saw a record drop in vaccinations. As of 11 pm on Tuesday in the country, 54 lakh people received the dose of the vaccine, which was much less than the previous day. However, this figure is still higher than other days.

On Monday, a total of 85 lakh vaccine doses were given in India in just one day. This was more than any other country other than China. However, despite the fall on Tuesday, the figure is the third highest so far. The vaccination campaign has started in the country from January 16.

On Monday, Madhya Pradesh topped the list of states by applying 17 lakh vaccines in a day, but till 10 pm on Tuesday, only 68 thousand 370 vaccines were given in this state, which shows a decline of 96 percent within these two days. At the same time, in Haryana, there was a decline of 75 percent in the daily vaccination figures on Tuesday. Till 10 pm on Tuesday night, 1 lakh 28 thousand 979 doses of vaccine were given, whereas on Monday, 5 lakh 11 thousand 882 vaccines were given here.

Sometimes it takes time to update the data of the states on the Covin portal. Despite this, however, the question remains whether India will be able to vaccinate at a faster rate in the coming weeks and months. The central government had set a target that between June 21 and June 30, 8 crore doses of the vaccine would be administered across the country. At the same time, in July, the center aims to have 248 million vaccines.

Senior health ministry officials on Monday attributed the large number of vaccinations to the coordination between states and the Centre. Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan said on Tuesday, 'We have shown in the past that we have the ability to deliver a large number of vaccine doses in a day. Since the states know how many vaccines they are going to get, they are able to conduct vaccination campaigns better.

If we look at the data available on the Kovin portal, there was a massive decline in vaccination in 12 states on Tuesday. Especially those states that had recorded vaccinations on Monday. These include Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Bihar.
