You must have heard the news of ATMs stealing money, cutting or breaking ATMs, setting them on fire, but this story is more than that. A miscreant uprooted the ATM from the JCB and blew it to another place to steal cash worth lakhs of rupees kept in it. But this cleverness of his also remained in vain.

Sangli police busted the whole matter on Tuesday. The incident took place on the intervening night of April 22 and 23 in Agar village of Miraj tehsil of the district. The incident came to light from the CCTV footage of an ATM center that went viral on social media. In the footage, a person is uprooting this cash machine from the JCB. The JCB used by the miscreant for this incident was also stolen.

Inspector Chandrakant Bedare of Miraj Rural Police Station said that an unidentified person with the help of JCB uprooted the ATM and took it for some distance, but when he sweated breaking the cash box of the ATM, he left both the JCB and the ATM and fled. Out. During the investigation, Rs 27 lakh kept in the cash box of the ATM turned out to be intact. However, due to sabotage by JCB at the ATM center, there was a loss of about Rs 4 lakh.

Police said that we have registered a case under various sections of IPC. CCTV footage is being examined. Investigation revealed that JCB machine was also stolen from the area itself. Police is on the lookout for the ATM thief.
