Pakistan Election: Elections were held in Pakistan amidst bloodshed and then during the counting many evidences of rigging came to light. Now even after the results, suspense remains before the people of Pakistan. No party has got the majority, efforts to manipulate have started, the army is trying to broker a compromise between Nawaz Sharif and Asif Ali Zardari.

After a very long wait, the picture of the results in Pakistan became clear but the puzzle of who would get power and whose government would be formed could not be solved. In the elections of Pakistan, the candidates supported by Imran Khan got a lot of votes and they are also on top in the statistics. But due to the loss of recognition of PTI, all the winning candidates are winners as independents.

There has been a lot of uproar in Pakistan regarding the election results. Demonstrations took place at many places. Firing took place during the demonstration in Waziristan of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. A policeman died here. 2 have been injured. Apart from this, 4 civilians have also been injured. Mohsin Dawar, former chairman of the National Assembly Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and candidate from seat number NA-40, was also shot and injured.

Allegations of rigging in results

There have been allegations of rigging in the results of Pakistan elections. The defeated candidates have reached the High Court against the results of many seats. A petition has been filed in the High Court against the victory of Nawaz Sharif and daughter Maryam. Radical party Tehreek-e-Labbaik is protesting against the results in Karachi. Before this, a large number of police forces have been deployed there.

There are a total of 336 seats in the National Assembly of Pakistan. Of these, elections were held on 265 seats. Elections on one seat have been postponed, while the results of one seat NA-88 have been rejected. Voting will take place again here on 15th February. The remaining 70 seats are reserved. After the results came in Pakistan, no one has got a clear majority. Now whether PML-N or PPP will form the government together or whether the government will be formed with the help of independents is a big question.

Independent candidates won 100 seats

Independent candidates have won 100 seats in Pakistani elections. All of them belong to Imran Khan's party PTI and are contesting as independents this time. Pakistan Muslim League has won 72 seats while Pakistan Peoples Party has won 54 seats. Other parties have won 28 seats. However, PTI leader Gauhar Khan has claimed in a press conference that the party has majority in the National Assembly with 170 seats. Gauhar Khan has said that all the candidates supporting Imran will join a party. Which party this will be will be decided soon.

Discussion on alliance also intensified

On the other hand, talks have taken place between Nawaz Sharif and Asif Ali Zardari regarding alliance. It is being claimed that both the parties have agreed to form the government together. Pakistan Army Chief Asim Munir has said that the political leadership and their workers should rise above self-interests and coordinate to serve the people. Amidst speculations about alliance, there may be horsetrading of winning candidates. However, it is believed that the leaders associated with Imran Khan's party will not rebel.
