IND vs BAN 1st Test Match: The first match of the two-match Test series between India and Bangladesh (BAN vs IND) will be played at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong from tomorrow i.e. Wednesday, 14 December. Before this match, a big news is coming for the fans. If reports are to be believed, a captain may be ruled out of this test due to injury.

Suspense on playing this captain

Before the start of the first Test match, Bangladesh is worried about the availability of captain Shakib Al Hasan due to some problems. According to a report in The Daily Star, Shakib was taken to a hospital in Chittagong due to some discomfort and stiffness in his ribs and shoulder. The report quoted a source in the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) as saying, "He had some stiffness and went for a checkup."

You can get relief from the first test

The report further states that he was expected to attend the pre-match press conference on Tuesday, but instead went for a batting session in the nets, his first net session ahead of the Test series. In his place, Bangladesh head coach Russell Domingo addressed the press conference. It has been said in the report that it seems that there is a discussion going on among the members of the team management whether Shakib can now play in the first Test starting on Wednesday. Let us tell you that in the second ODI, Shakib suffered shoulder and rib injuries while facing the first over of fast bowler Umran Malik.

Head coach gave this big update

Head coach Russell Domingo said, 'Look we are still assessing him and we will make a decision later this afternoon to make sure whether he will play or not. He is still struggling a bit with his ribs and shoulders. Hopefully he will bat. If Shakib Al Hasan does not play in this match, then the Bangladeshi team may have to announce a new captain.
