Arrangements have been made by the administration to prevent the devotees coming from visiting Har Ki Paidi and other Ganga Ghats by putting a large number of police forces in the entire area.

Due to the ban of bathing, all the ghats including Har Ki Paidi are deserted. Meanwhile, this morning's Ganga Aarti has also been done in the presence of only a few people. Generally, on the occasion of Makar Sankranti bath, a large number of patriotic devotees come to Haridwar to take a bath in Maa Ganga. But since the district administration has banned this bath due to the increasing infection of Corona. Due to this the entire Har Ki Paidi area is lying vacant.

CO City Shekhar Suyal says that our police is present at every barrier and every block outside and it is our responsibility to follow the Kovid-19 guideline. I understand that our police force is standing with promptness.

He said that the ghat is completely empty and we have been successful in fully implementing what has been banned. Yes, barricading has been put in place, it is our effort that people do not crowd. For the last two-three days, through you people, through the media, it was conveyed to the people through other means that there will be a ban in this bath in Haridwar and it has its effect and the rest of the people who are still on the barrier Trying to send them back.

Three lakh devotees gathered in Ganga Sagar

Here, 3 lakh people have gathered for the Ganges bath in Gangasagar, West Bengal. In Prayagraj, the biggest pilgrimage of Hindus, both Magh Mela and Kalpavas have started from today, lakhs of devotees from all over the country and abroad are taking holy dip in the confluence of holy Ganga Yamuna and invisible Saraswati on the festival of Makar Sankranti. This yoga is formed when the Sun enters Capricorn. Sankranti is considered as the sun festival. From there onwards Lord Bhaskar will get the direction from South to North. It is also called Uttarayan.

On the basis of astrologers, Makar Sankranti, which falls on January 14, is progressing at the time of sunset, and according to Hindu Panchang belief, the date which is at the time of sunrise is considered to be the same throughout the day, however Sankranti tonight is around 8: 00 o'clock but a large number of people are taking a dip in the holy water since morning. The fear of Kovid-19 is not overshadowing the faith, although the district administration has made great preparations, but even after this, there are leakages at many places. In a way, at the confluence of Prayag, there will be a bath of Makar Sankranti on both today, January 14 and tomorrow on January 15.
