Karnataka | Before Prime Minister Modi's visit to Bangalore, the road built at a cost of 23 crores could not withstand even a single rain. The Greater Bangalore Municipal Corporation recently constructed the road. The Municipal Corporation had built this 3.6 km road which is part of the Bangalore University campus. Prime Minister Modi had reached Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar School of Economics on Monday from this road.

After a night's rain, this road sat. There was a big pothole in the middle of the road. The place where the road has been damaged is near the university campus. People passing on the road are surprised to see the condition of this new road and go away cursing the system.

Ananth Subramaniam, who passed by here, said, "People coming and going had complained many times but no one was ready to listen. Seeing no other option, a barricade was placed near the pit. This is not the first time that such a big pothole has happened in the road. Earlier, Prime Minister Modi was to visit in April. Even then the road was built but PM Modi's visit was cancelled. The condition of the road had deteriorated within a few days and there were potholes.

Municipal engineers say that this pit has been caused due to leaking of water or rupture of sewage pipeline. It was repaired even before the arrival of Prime Minister Modi. Special commissioner BBMP said, because of the protocol, the laborers had prepared this road day and night one by one.
