CNG-PNG Price: Mahanagar Gas Limited has reduced the prices of CNG by Rs 3 per kg in Mumbai and its surrounding suburbs. Along with this, a reduction of Rs 2 in the price of domestic PNG has also been announced. With this, the new price of CNG in Mumbai and its surrounding suburbs has become Rs 76 per kg. At the same time, the price of domestic PNG will be Rs 47.

The order of price reduction by Mahanagar Gas Limited will come into effect from the midnight of 1 October 2023 and the morning of 2 October 2023. Earlier in the month of April also, Mahanagar Gas Limited had reduced the price of CNG by Rs 8 and PNG price by Rs 5 per SCM. After the price cut, the price of CNG in Mumbai and its adjoining suburbs became Rs 79 per kg. At the same time, the price of PNG had become Rs 49. Before the cut, the price of CNG in the city was Rs 87 per kg while the price of PNG was Rs 54 per scm.

Big relief to Mumbaikars

The decision of Mahanagar Gas Limited to reduce the prices of CNG and PNG is being considered as a big relief for the people of Mumbai. In big cities like Mumbai, most of the vehicles run on CNG only. In such a situation, the direct effect of price cut will bring relief to the common man.

At the same time, news came out in the morning that the Central Government has increased the price of 19 kg gas cylinder. It has increased the price of 19 kg gas cylinder by more than Rs 200 from October 1. However, there has been no change in the price of domestic LPG cylinder. In fact, on August 30, the Central Cabinet had given a relief of Rs 200 to consumers on domestic gas cylinders. Then after the price came down, people heaved a sigh of relief.
