Harsh Vardhan: After Gautam Gambhir, Jayant Sinha, now senior BJP leader and former Union Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan has announced his retirement from politics. He has shared a long post on his social media in which he gave this information. Dr. Harsh Vardhan thanked BJP and all its supporters. He said that he had entered the election field on the request of the RSS leadership. For him, democracy meant fighting the three main enemies: poverty, disease and ignorance.

In his post, Dr. Harsh Vardhan wrote that the political journey of the last thirty years has been very wonderful. During this period, I contested five assembly elections and two parliamentary elections and won by a huge margin. Harsh Vardhan further wrote that he worked on many prestigious positions in the state and center as well as in the party organization. Now he wants to return to his roots.

‘Service to mankind is the motto’

Recalling his early days, the BJP leader said that he wrote that service to mankind was his motto when he took admission in MBBS at GSVM Medical College, Kanpur fifty years ago with a desire to help the poor and needy. Was. He said that being a volunteer at heart, he has always tried to serve the last person in the queue.

‘Entered the electoral fray on the request of RSS’

Harsh Vardhan wrote in his post that he has been a follower of Deen Dayal Upadhyay's Antyodaya philosophy. He had entered the election field at the behest of RSS. The BJP leader said that the RSS was able to convince him only because for him politics meant an opportunity to fight our three main enemies – poverty, disease and ignorance.

Harsh Vardhan further wrote that this was a wonderful innings of his during which he remained passionately engaged in serving the common man. He said that his work as Health Minister of Delhi is close to his heart. He got the opportunity to first make a polio-free India and later to serve the countrymen by taking care of their health during Covid.
