The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has launched a scathing attack on the Congress party and the India Bloc, declaring their grand rally at Delhi's historic Ramlila Maidan as an absolute failure. The ruling party alleged that Congress's tall claim of gathering ten million or one million people has completely fallen flat. Addressing a special press conference at the party headquarters, BJP national spokesperson Sambit Patra launched a fierce attack, stating that Rahul Gandhi's rally proved to be a complete waste of time, with forty percent of the Ramlila Maidan remaining entirely empty.
During the press conference, BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra displayed pictures and video footage from the rally to substantiate his claims before the media, while he stated that anyone could clearly see in the background that forty percent of the Ramlila Maidan area was completely vacant. Rahul Gandhi and his entire team had pompously claimed that one million people would attend the event, but the reality was starkly different. Presenting the exact figures, Sambit Patra pointed out that out of a total of twenty-eight thousand chairs, approximately five thousand to seven thousand chairs remained completely empty between three-thirty PM and four PM. This is the ultimate reality behind Congress party's grand claims of gathering one million people, proving that genuine public support was conspicuously missing.
Mocking Rahul Gandhi further, Sambit Patra asked where those one million people actually were, challenging the opposition to show them. He asserted that no leader or Prime Minister is ever created through such cheap political tricks. The abbreviation PM doesn't just mean Prime Minister; P stands for sweat, and M stands for hard work, while a Prime Minister is forged through sweat and relentless hard work. Despite bringing so many diverse political parties and their numerous flags together on one single platform, the entire alliance miserably failed to muster even one million people.
The BJP spokesperson also hit back at Rahul Gandhi's remarks questioning the electoral process itself, while sambit Patra sharply retorted that Rahul Gandhi himself is an illegal Leader of the Opposition. Explaining in detail, he stated that Rahul Gandhi's claim of the twenty-four elections being illegal is completely baseless. Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar wasn't even holding office during the twenty-four general elections; he assumed office as the Election Commissioner in twenty-five. If the twenty-four elections were somehow illegal, then Rahul Gandhi is also an illegal Leader of the Opposition, and all his Members of Parliament are equally illegal. If any election is deemed illegal, it must be challenged legally in a court of law. Patra threw an open challenge, asking anyone to show even a single petition filed by Rahul Gandhi, the Congress party, or any India Bloc party challenging the twenty-four Lok Sabha elections in a court. You can't suddenly wake up two and a half years later at Ramlila Maidan to declare any election illegal.
Notably, prior to this, while addressing the 'Vote Bachao, దేశ Bachao Maha Rally' organized by the India Bloc at Delhi's Ramlila Maidan, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi had launched a scathing attack on the central government and Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Rahul Gandhi alleged in his address that Gyanesh Kumar would have to step down from his post and go to jail for treason. Also, he warned Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah that they would also have to face severe legal action.
Addressing the massive gathering at Delhi's Ramlila Maidan, Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, asserted that after legal action is taken against Gyanesh Kumar, the entire opposition will stand firmly against Prime Minister Modi and Home Minister Shah. Rahul Gandhi leveled serious allegations, stating that these top individuals have launched a direct attack on the soul of the nation and its democracy. The senior Congress leader stated from the stage that the strong message that needed to be sent to Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, and Gyanesh Kumar has been successfully sent by the common citizens right from this venue.
The Congress leader further stated in his speech that this voice isn't just of any single political party or an individual leader, but it's the collective voice of the country's youth, hard-working farmers, and sweat-drenched laborers. This resounding voice is clearly proclaiming that we won't let the constitution and democracy be destroyed under any circumstances. During his address, Rahul Gandhi also made severe allegations of massive rigging in the assembly elections of Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and Haryana, as well as the twenty-four Lok Sabha elections, escalating the political friction Notably.
