Assembly Elections 2023: BJP's marathon meeting was held on Sunday regarding the assembly elections in five states. First, BJP President JP Nadda held a core group meeting regarding Rajasthan. This meeting took place at JP Nadda's house. Along with Amit Shah, former Rajasthan CM Vasundhara Raje Scindia was also present in the meeting. It is being told that the candidates from Rajasthan were discussed in the meeting. After this, the BJP Central Election Committee (CEC) meeting started in the evening which continued till late night.

The Prime Minister also attended the CEC meeting held at BJP headquarters in Delhi. According to sources, the first thing discussed in the meeting was the names of the candidates contesting the elections from Rajasthan. After this, the meeting regarding Chhattisgarh started which continued till late night. If sources are to be believed, BJP can announce candidates for Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan any time.

The meeting started from Rajasthan. In which CEC members have discussed the names of the candidates. The names of candidates for more than 65 seats in Rajasthan were discussed in the meeting. According to sources, during the meeting held regarding Rajasthan, there was also discussion on making some big names and MPs candidates on some seats. Since then it is being speculated that BJP may adopt the formula of Madhya Pradesh in Rajasthan also.

In Rajasthan, everyone's eyes are fixed on former CM Vasundhara Raje because if the party adopts Madhya Pradesh's formula in Rajasthan too, then it could be an alarm bell for Vasundhara Raje's politics. However, what strategy the party adopts will be known only after the list comes.

Discussion on remaining seats of Chhattisgarh

At the same time, in the meeting held regarding Chhattisgarh, there was discussion about the candidates contesting on the remaining seats there. BJP has so far declared 21 candidates for Chhattisgarh. Some of these seats are from tribal dominated areas, while some are from the city. Candidates are yet to be announced for 69 seats in the state. If sources are to be believed, the candidates contesting from the seats of Rajnandgaon, Durg, Bhilai and Raipur were discussed in the CEC meeting. Rajnandgaon is the seat from where former CM Dr Raman Singh is the MLA.

78 candidates have already been declared for Madhya Pradesh

There was no discussion on Madhya Pradesh in the meeting held on Sunday because BJP has already announced 78 candidates for this place. The first list also included 39 names while the second list also included 39 names, but the difference between the two was huge.

In the first list, an attempt was made to field local faces, while in the second list, BJP fielded seven MPs including three Union Ministers. Even Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar has been decided by the party to contest the assembly elections.
