Pathaan Box Office Collection: Shah Rukh Khan's return to the screen after four years has received a great response from the audience and reviewers alike. Looks like 'Pathan' is living up to everyone's expectations as it has crossed the Rs 50 crore mark on its first day. As per trade reports, the film directed by Siddharth Anand has broken the opening day records of 'KGF 2' Hindi (2022) and 'War' (2019), both the films respectively collected Rs 52 crore (net) upon their release And had an opening of Rs 50 crore (net).

Starring Deepika Padukone, John Abraham, Dimple Kapadia and Ashutosh Rana, the film is a part of YRF's Spy Universe. Trade analyst Ramesh Bala tweeted that 'Pathan' earned Rs 54 crore on its first day in India. His tweet read, "#Pathan Day 1 India, Rs 54 cr nett opening..a new all-time record..early estimates (sic)."

'Pathan' is already the biggest release ever for a Hindi film with the film already running in 8000 screens worldwide. Seeing the demand of the fans, the makers have increased the shows by 300 shows on the day of release. According to Box Office India, "Pathan has registered a phenomenal opening at the box office as early estimates suggest a collection of 50-51 crores in its Hindi version. The film has broken the weekday release record multiple times." 'Baahubali - The Conclusion' (Hindi) was the biggest non-holiday opener before 'Pathan'."

Earnings can increase today

And according to trade pundits, Wednesday's release has overshadowed the film in some regions in the Hindi belt Gujarat/Saurashtra, CP Berar, CI and Rajasthan. Also, on January 26, it is expected to see a good jump in the collections. According to Box Office India the film has done extremely well in other Hindi belts of UP and Bihar. However, here too a release on a traditional Friday or a national holiday would yield better results.
