Syria Bomb Blast: A massive explosion took place on Kou Sudan Street near Sayyida Zainab's mausoleum in Syria on Thursday night. At least six people were killed and 23 others were injured in the incident. The Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported that the explosion targeted the town of Asayda Zainab in the Damascus countryside. According to media reports, a car detonated near a taxi on Kou Sudan Street in Sayyida Zainab.

Government admits terrorist attack

According to media reports, the Syrian Interior Ministry said that after the bomb blast, security personnel reached the spot and started rescue operations. The injured have been admitted to hospitals, where they are undergoing treatment. The interior ministry said the explosion occurred near a taxi parked near the Syeda Zainab mausoleum, Syria's most famous Shia shrine. According to the report, the government said that this is a terrorist attack.
