Business / Campa will be re launched by Diwali in three flavours

New Delhi | Mukesh Ambani's Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) has made a big bet in the soft drink segment. Reliance Industries has bought domestic soft drink brand Campa from New Delhi-based Pure Drinks Group. This has been said in a report by Economic Times. Now Campa will be re-launched across the country in 3 flavors till Diwali. It will come in lemon and orange flavors apart from the iconic Campa Cola version. The brand will be sold through Reliance Retail's own stores and local kirana shops. The deal to buy the Campa brand has been done for about Rs 22 crore.

Pure Drinks Group launched Campa Cola

Reliance Retail has announced plans to roll out its fast moving consumer goods business by expanding the reach of its existing private labels by launching new products and buying local brands in the market. Campa Cola was launched in 1970 by Pure Drinks Group. This group was also responsible for the launch and distribution of Coca-Cola in 1949. The American brand was temporarily phased out in 1977. After this Pure Drinks Group launched the brand Campa Cola.

Company to launch fast moving consumer goods business

Reliance Retail Ventures Limited (RRVL) director Isha Ambani announced the group's plans to launch its FMCG business at the 45th Annual General Meeting of RIL on Monday. He had said, “This year we will launch our fast moving consumer goods business. The objective of this business is to develop and deliver products that meet the daily needs of every Indian. We aim to provide high quality products at affordable pricing. The company is recruiting distributors to push its products in the general trade.
