Coronavirus : A case of BF.7 variant of Corona has come to light in Vadodara, Gujarat. BF.7 variant was found in a 61-year-old American woman. After getting the variant of Corona, the woman was isolated at home. Despite getting Pfizer's vaccine, the woman got infected with BF.7 variant. This woman had come to Vadodara from America on 11th November. The woman's samples were sent to Gandhinagar for genome sequencing.

Many variants of Corona have come so far. Omicron has been the most prominent of these. Many subvariants of Omicron have also come. There is a subvariant of this BF.7 which is known as BA.5.2.1.7. This Omicron variant is a subvariant of the BA.5. This variant is being told behind the rise of corona cases in China. Apart from China, this variant has also failed in many countries. BF.7 spreads faster than other variants and can infect more people although it has a shorter incubation period.
