Manipur / Chandrayaan 2 landing to be witnessed by class 9 student from Imphal

Chandrayaan 2 will be landing on the moon on Septemeber 07, 2019 and students from all across the country will be watching it live with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Two students from every state and union territories have been selected, making to a total of 60 students.
A class 9th student, Wahengbam Devananda, who studies in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya in Manipur's Imphal has also been shortlisted to witness the landing of Chandrayaan 2 with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 07, 2019. Wahengbam Devananda is among the 60 students who will get the chance to witness landing of Chandrayaan 2. He hails from Yaralpat area of Imphal East.
While speaking to ANI, Wahengbam Davenanda said, "I did not believe it when I got to know that I was selected for the programme. I am very happy that I will get to watch the landing of Chandrayaan 2 alongside Prime Minister Narendra Modi."
ISRO space quiz
ISRO had conducted a 'Space Quiz' for students from the eighth to the tenth standard. The child with the most number of correct answers in 10 minutes emerged the winner.
The Human Resource Development (HRD) ministry had written to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and other state boards to encourage the children to participate in the quiz. It was conducted to promote awareness among children about India's ambitious space programme.
