China has slammed Pakistan after the Karachi University campus bombings and demanded increased security for its citizens. Four people, including three Chinese women, were killed in this attack. Condemning the attack, China has demanded a full investigation and punishment to the perpetrators.

After the attack, the Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman said, "The blood of Chinese citizens working in Pakistan cannot be shed in vain." He said, those involved in the incident will definitely pay the price. According to the report, the Chinese Foreign Ministry also called the Pakistani ambassador to China after the death of three Chinese nationals in the attack.

Baloch Liberation Army claimed responsibility for the attack

Four people, including three Chinese women, were killed when a van exploded on Tuesday evening on the Karachi university campus in Pakistan's financial capital. Several others were also injured in this explosion. It is feared that the attack was aimed at the teachers teaching the Chinese language. Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed responsibility for the attack.

The first attack on the Chinese is not

This is not the first time that this attack on Chinese citizens has happened in Pakistan. In July last year, masked men opened fire on two Chinese nationals. In the same year, a bus carrying workers was attacked, in which several Chinese engineers were killed. In November 2018, the Chinese consulate was attacked by the Baloch. In this, three died on the spot.

BLA is opposing Chinese investment

In recent times, the Baloch Liberation Army has emerged as a major extremist organization. It has also been banned in many countries. This organization opposes Chinese investment in Pakistan, especially in Balochistan. Balochistan province has remained volatile ever since China entered the region and started construction of a port in Gwadar. Under the terms of the port construction, China would receive 90 per cent of the revenue generated there for 40 years.
