While Churu deals with sandstorms, other parts of the country are preparing for significant rainfall. According to the latest weather updates, several regions are on high alert. In the northeastern states of Assam, Meghalaya, and Arunachal Pradesh, as well as in Sikkim and the hilly areas of West Bengal, very heavy rain is expected over the next 6 to 7 days. The northern regions are also seeing a shift in patterns. In Jammu and Kashmir, rain is predicted from 15 to 18 June, followed by an alert for heavy rain between 18 and 21 June. Similarly, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand are expected to experience rainfall between 15 and 21 June.

The weather department has also indicated that Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, and Uttar Pradesh are likely to receive rain this week, while moving towards the eastern part of the country, Bihar, Jharkhand, and Odisha are also in the path of the upcoming weather system. Specifically, in Bihar, there is a heavy rain alert in place from 16 to 19 June. Central India isn't exempt either, as Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh are expected to see rain throughout the entire week. Down south and along the western coast, states including Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Goa, and Maharashtra are also likely to experience rainfall for the duration of the week, marking a widespread change in weather conditions across the nation.
