Rajasthan Elections: Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has given a big statement on Tuesday before leaving for the Congress Screening Committee meeting. When Gehlot was asked when the list of Congress candidates would be released, he said that this is the work of the high command. While talking to the media before leaving for Delhi, Gehlot once again targeted BJP and Pilot faction. Let us inform that along with Gehlot, Assembly Speaker CP Joshi has also left for Delhi.

‘False atmosphere is being created regarding MLAs’

Taking aim at the Bharatiya Janata Party, Gehlot said, 'BJP has played the game of toppling governments across the country. A false atmosphere is being created about the MLAs in Rajasthan. If the MLA was corrupt, he was being given an installment of Rs 10 crore. There was a shortage of only 3-4 MLAs to topple the government, but not a single MLA was defeated. This is the reason that today our government in Rajasthan is going to complete its 5-year tenure. Who is asking today the MLAs who took the installment of Rs 10 crore, whether they are from Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh or Rajasthan.

‘It is the job of the high command to issue the list’

When asked when the party's candidates for Rajasthan would be announced, Gehlot said, 'Today is the screening committee meeting. CEC meeting will be held tomorrow. When to release the list, it is the job of the high command. Let us tell you that voting for the 200-member Rajasthan Assembly is to be held on November 25, while the counting of votes will take place on December 3. In the last elections, Congress had performed brilliantly and won 100 seats, whereas BJP, which had won 163 seats in 2013, was reduced to 73. Apart from these two, others had won 27 seats.
