MLAs of Gehlot faction made this demand

The supporters of Ashok Gehlot have put forth some demands in front of the Congress high command, in which they said that the meeting of the Congress Legislature Party should not be held till October 19 and the meeting should be held after the results of the election of the Congress President. There is a demand of these MLAs that let Ashok Gehlot become the national president first, after that take the opinion of the legislators. After taking opinion, whatever decision the High Command takes, we will accept it.

Some legislators indirectly cited Pilot as saying that the chief minister's successor should be someone who played a key role in saving the government during the political crisis in 2020, and not someone who was involved in an attempt to topple it.
