Rajasthan Political Crisis: After the rebel stand of the MLAs in Rajasthan, now the discussion about the new Chief Minister of the state has intensified. However, this decision may be delayed for now. It is believed that first the election of the Congress President will be held and then a decision can be taken regarding the post of CM. Nominations for the election of Congress President will be held till September 30. Sources claim that only after this a decision will be taken on the name of the new CM.Amidst the discussion of Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot becoming the president, the demand had intensified that he should resign from his post and file his nomination. Rahul Gandhi himself had also advocated for one person one post, after which it was believed that Gehlot would resign and Rajasthan would get a new CM. Sachin Pilot himself had also indicated Gehlot to resign, citing the principle of one man one post.Change in Rajasthan even when Gehlot did not become the president! However, in the midst of all this, the MLAs of the Gehlot faction revolted and clearly said that any of the 102 MLAs should be made CM, but Sachin Pilot will not be accepted as the Chief Minister. It is known that AICC observers Mallikarjun Kharge and Ajay Maken will give a written report to Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi amid the uprising of the Gehlot faction in Rajasthan. It is believed that even if Gehlot does not become the president, change can happen in Rajasthan. Sources close to the Congress high command say that the mobilization in support of Gehlot happened because he was in the race for the post of president till then.On the other hand, Congress leader in Rajasthan and MLA Khiladi Lal Bairwa, close to Sachin Pilot, has said that Sachin Pilot has sought time to meet Sonia Gandhi. He has claimed that now there is doubt about Gehlot being the CM and becoming the president. He said that some people have broken the discipline within the party. Now people are saying that we are with the high command. Bairwa said that if there is no MLA with Gehlot, then he should resign.
