In the Palghar Nagar Parishad, the BJP retained its 18 corporator seats, while the Nationalist Sharad Pawar faction won eight seats and the Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) secured one, while in Amravati district, out of 12 seats, BJP won 6, Congress 2, Shiv Sena (Shinde) 1, Shiv Sena (Thackeray) 1, Vanchit 1, and Prahar 1.

BJP's Stronghold in Latur and Gadchiroli

In Latur district, the BJP captured 4 out of 5 Nagar Parishad/Nagar Panchayats, including Udgir, Ahmadpur, Nilanga, and Renapur. The NCP (Ajit Pawar faction) won one seat in Ausa, while in the Gadchiroli's Desaiganj Municipal Corporation election, BJP's Lata Murlidhar Sundarkar won the Nagar Adhyaksh (Mayor) election by a margin of 741 votes, securing 6641 votes, while rival Congress candidate Vanita Naktode received 5900 votes. These victories underscore the BJP's strong grassroots presence.

Grand Success for Mahayuti in Udgir and Konkan

In the Udgir Nagar Parishad, Mahayuti achieved a 'grand victory' by winning 34 out of 40 seats, while here, Ajit Pawar's NCP and BJP contested together, with NCP (Ajit Pawar group) winning 20 seats and BJP winning 14 seats. The opposition had to settle for only six seats. Swati, the BJP candidate from the Mahayuti alliance, won the mayoral post by a margin of ten thousand votes, while in Konkan's Malvan Nagar Parishad, Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) secured a major victory in what was a high-profile contest. This election saw a direct confrontation between the Shinde faction and the BJP, with Shinde faction MLA Nilesh Rane accusing the BJP of distributing money, an allegation the BJP denied. This victory strengthens the Shinde faction's influence in the Konkan region.

Setbacks for Some Ministers

Despite these impressive victories, some ministers faced setbacks in the local body elections. BJP minister Nitesh Rane suffered a defeat as Sandesh Parkar of the Shahar Vikas Aghadi emerged victorious. MLA Nilesh Rane delivered a blow to his younger brother Nitesh, while bJP minister Jaykumar Rawal also lost the Dhule's Shindkheda Nagaradhyaksha (Mayor) post election to Kalavati Mali, a woman candidate from the NCP (Ajit Pawar faction). Eknath Shinde's minister Gulabrao Patil's candidate also lost the election, where a local alliance candidate won. These results indicate that despite individual influence, local equations can shift.

Shiv Sena (Shinde Faction) Wins in Badlapur
