New Delhi : Before the election for the post of Congress President, candidate Shashi Tharoor has narrated his message to the party colleagues. He has sought votes by sharing a video. Thiruvananthapuram MP Shashi Tharoor posted the 38-second video. He said, I am asking you to vote for the upcoming presidential election. These elections are to be held on October 17.

He said, we all know that at this time we are facing big challenges within the Congress itself. The challenge before us is to revive the party and make the BJP capable of taking on the BJP in 2024. At the same time, many parties give an example of democracy within themselves, although no other party has been able to do so. We are proud that Congress President Sonia Gandhi, former President Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi have accepted the decisions to strengthen the party and this will attract people towards our part. We are fighting only with the spirit of strengthening the Congress party.

Referring to his manifesto, he said that we have many ideas to strengthen the party. Such as decentralization of administration, expanding the participation of people in the party, empowering party workers. "Our aim is to protect the constitutional institutions and win the trust of the voters which we have lost in 2014 and 2019.

Tharoor said, only when a strong Congress can be formed, a strong India can be made. If not now, when will we be able to get back the identity of our party, he said. The elections for the post of President will be held on October 17. Mallikarjun Kharge and Shashi Tharoor are face to face in this.
