Telangana Election / Congress SC/ST manifesto released ahead of Telangana elections – 'Poor families will get Rs 12 lakh'

Telangana Election: Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge on Saturday released the SC/ST manifesto of the Congress ahead of the Telangana assembly elections. Releasing the manifesto in Chevella town of the state, the Congress president made it clear that his party wanted to provide social justice to those sections who were neglected by the previous state governments. In his speech, he talked about 12 major 'announcements', which talked about increasing the reservation limit for SC / ST and providing financial assistance to the weaker people of this class.

SC/ST families will get Rs 12 lakh to increase income

The Congress's SC/ST manifesto states that reservation for Scheduled Castes will be increased to 18% in proportion to their population. Implementation of A, B, C, D classification of reservation for SC will be ensured. Along with this, financial assistance of Rs 12 lakh per family will be provided under Ambedkar Abhay Hastam to increase the income of SC/ST community people. 18% reservation for Scheduled Castes and 12% for Scheduled Tribes will be provided in government procurement and public works contracts.

SC/ST poor will get Rs 6 lakh to build a house

It has been said in the manifesto that reservation will be provided for SC/ST in private schools and colleges and private companies taking grants from the government. Under the Indiramma Pakka Makan Yojana, space and financial assistance of Rs 6 lakh will be given to the homeless people belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. All such families will be given the benefit of the scheme within 5 years. Apart from this, all the land of SC/ST community grabbed by the BRS government will be returned. Apart from this, Congress has also made many other announcements.
