Deeg Car Workshop Fire: One Girl Dead, Six Critically Injured in Rajasthan

A devastating fire incident has been reported from the Kaman town of Deeg district in Rajasthan, where a routine day at a car workshop turned into a nightmare on Tuesday. The fire broke out at a car repairing workshop located on the busy Deeg Road, leading to a chaotic situation as thick smoke and flames filled the air, while the incident occurred while repair work was being carried out on a vehicle, and within moments, the fire escalated beyond control, trapping those inside the facility before they could find an exit.

Family Members Trapped in the Blaze

The fire spread with such intensity that the family members of the workshop owner, Manmohan, and his brother, Bhagwan Singh, were caught in the middle of the inferno. The suddenness of the blaze left very little time for evacuation, resulting in 7 individuals sustaining severe burn injuries. Tragically, the incident resulted in the death of a young girl due to the severity of the burns. The remaining 6 victims are currently battling for their lives, with medical professionals describing their condition as critical following the exposure to high-intensity flames.

Rescue Operations and Medical Response

As soon as the fire erupted, the local community showed immense bravery by rushing to the spot to initiate rescue efforts, while people from the neighborhood used available resources to try and douse the flames while waiting for professional help. The local police were alerted immediately and arrived at the Deeg Road location to coordinate the rescue and manage the crowd. The injured were quickly moved to the Kaman Community Health Center (CHC) to receive emergency medical attention and stabilization.

Referral to SMS Hospital Jaipur

Upon arrival at the Kaman CHC, doctors provided primary medical aid to the 7 victims. However, given the life-threatening nature of the burns sustained by 6 of the individuals, the medical staff determined that specialized care was necessary. Consequently, these 6 critically injured persons were referred to the Sawai Mansingh (SMS) Hospital in Jaipur for intensive treatment. The local authorities and police are investigating the exact circumstances that led to the fire during the repair work.
