In such a situation, the director thought that by putting some good smooch scenes of Deepika, the film will be successful, but this formula does not seem to be working completely.

What is the story

The story is of Alisha (Deepika) and Tia (Ananya Pandey), who are cousins. She meets with her own boy friends after years. Tia's boyfriend Jane (Siddhant) is a businessman in the reality sector, while Alisha's live-in boyfriend Karan (Patira) is a struggling writer, who quits his job at an ad agency and tries to do some miracles by writing a book. In such a situation, Alisha, who is also bearing the expenses of the boyfriend who came on Jane's yacht for a holiday, gets caught in the trap of her flirting. She also wanted an investor in her yoga app.

Movie moving from romance to crime thriller

The movie stops here in the first half, looks like it will be a romantic movie, in which only smooches, kisses, bold scenes are visible. Then Alisha's greed, the four quarreled with their partners, it seemed that the partners of both would change. But then the level of greed is shown to be so high in the story that all the romanticism disappears and a murder is planned. Only one murder of the four gives such a twist to the story that the mystery of Alisha's mother's suicide from the past also reveals the vortex of the story, making the movie a crime thriller. But in the end, fighting with herself, fighting with loved ones, losing everything but finding the way to peace, how Alisha's life comes out of the depths of the vortex and comes to the shore, teaches that to gain something, one has to lose something i.e. Gita knowledge.

Where did the director go wrong?

Since there are actors like Deepika Padukone, Rajat Kapoor, Naseeruddin Shah, their level of acting has maintained the level of the movie. Ananya still has a lot to learn. Although this movie could have been easily reduced in 2 hours. The director made these two mistakes, due to which many people may find this movie derailed. Keeping the first half of a film excessively slow and then making the second half as fast as a crime thriller, making the movie at least half an hour more due to Deepika giving more attention in the second movie. Yes, there have not been as many good scenes in Ananya's part.

Deepika is the life of the film

By giving more stars than necessary, the director does not pay attention to the rest of the movie in order to give more time to his body, his scenes. That's why if Deepika is removed from this movie, then nothing else remains. There is another negative aspect of the movie and that is dialogues, Shakun Batra is known for making youthful movies, but in any dialogue or scene, you should laugh even by mistake, be it a bit funny, she failed to do so. Huh. Songs and background music is also to pass the time or to make the film more emotional, romantic, so you are not able to notice it while watching the movie.
