From June next year, the journey from Delhi to Jaipur can be completed in three hours. NHAI has set a deadline for Sohna elevated road till March 31. With this, passengers will be able to save more than an hour. Passengers will have to travel a total of 270 km from Dhaula Kuan to Jaipur via Sohna and Dausa.

In June next year, you will be able to reach non-stop from Dhaula kuan to Jaipur in about three hours from Delhi-Gurugram and Sohna-Mumbai Expressway. The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) has set the deadline for the Sohna elevated road till March 31. This will be a signal free route from Rajiv Chowk in Gurgaon and Sohan-Dausa of Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. At the same time, sources have said that it may take a few more months.

Earlier, NHAI had set a deadline of November 2021. But it had to be increased due to the second wave of Kovid. Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari reviewed the project on Thursday and conducted aerial surveys in Haryana, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. He directed the NHAI to expedite the work and complete the work within the time limit to provide relief to the passengers and cargo carriers.

Save more than an hour

The Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, under construction, passes through Dausa, which is 60 km from Jaipur. NH-21 connects Dausa with Jaipur. A total of 270 km will have to be traveled from Dhaula Kuan to Jaipur via Sohna and Dausa. If someone travels on NH-8, then he will also have to cover almost the same distance. But the expressway is only for high speed vehicles and one can travel at a speed of 120 kmph. Hence the travel time till Jaipur will be reduced to three hours. Hence commuters will be able to save more than an hour by using the expressway.

On the other hand, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari said on Thursday that people need to pay for good roads and other better infrastructure facilities in the country. He also told about the reduction in travel time and fuel cost by expressway.

Build roadside facilities

Reviewing the progress of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway (DME) in Sohna, Road Transport Minister Gadkari said farmers who own land on the expressway should not be sold to realty developers. Rather partner with them and build roadside facilities.

Regarding the increase in travel expenses due to toll tax, the minister said that if you want to use air-conditioned halls, you have to spend money for that. Otherwise you can organize the wedding in the open also. Gadkari said that the expressway will significantly reduce the travel time. This will also reduce the cost of fuel.

Delhi to Mumbai 12 hours ago

He said that the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway will reduce the travel time by 12 hours. A truck takes 48 hours to travel from Delhi to Mumbai. But by this expressway he will reach in 18 hours. This means that the truck can make more trips. That means more business can be done.
