Satish and Vasanti Salian on Wednesday wrote a letter to the President urging him to stop the harassment being committed by BJP leader Rane and his son. The letter informed the President that after his daughter's death, some people active on social media had started linking the incident (her alleged suicide) to Rajput's death and that the news channels and social media were fictitious and factually incorrect. Information started spreading. The letter said that some leaders like Narayan Rane and Nitesh Rane intervened on the issue due to their personal rivalry with Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and his son Aaditya and made our lives miserable by dragging us into their political battles.
