IPL Media Rights: Package A and Package B of the media rights of the Indian Premier League i.e. IPL from 2023 to 2027 have been confirmed. For the next five years of IPL, Package A i.e. IPL TV rights of the Indian subcontinent has been bought by Disney Star, while Package B i.e. Digital Rights of India has been bought by Viacom18 Reliance. In this way, we will now watch IPL on TV only on Star Sports, while digitally we will get to watch IPL on a separate app.The TV rights for IPL 2023 to 2027 were bought by Star for Rs 23,575 crore, while Viacom18 (Reliance) bid for Rs 20,500 crore for the digital rights to Pani. In such a situation, it is clear that to watch IPL in the Indian subcontinent, one has to go to the Star Sports network, but the way we have been watching IPL on Hotstar for the last several years, now it will not happen from next season.Viacom18 has announced to give Rs 50 crore per match for digital rights of IPL, so we can watch IPL matches on jio tv. However, it is being said in media reports that by next year, Reliance can launch a new app, where you will get to watch IPL matches live. Star has decided to pay Rs 57.5 crore per match for TV rights. Apart from this, Viacom has also got world rights. IPL matches will be streamed digitally on Viacom's platform in Australia and European countries. However, the official confirmation has not yet been made by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
