Lok Sabha Election: Janata Dal-United (JDU) has given shocking information to the Election Commission. JDU has told the Election Commission that in the year 2019, someone had handed over an envelope containing electoral bonds worth Rs 10 crore in its office, which it had encashed within a few days, but it does not have any information about the donor. As the Election Commission on Sunday unearthed sealed information submitted by various political parties, information provided by Bihar's ruling party revealed that it has received electoral bonds totaling more than Rs 24 crore. The party also revealed the names of Bharti Airtel and Shree Cement as donors of bonds worth Rs 1 crore and Rs 2 crore respectively.

Total donation of Rs 24.4 crore disclosed

In another detail, JDU revealed a total donation of Rs 24.4 crore through these bonds, many of which were issued from SBI branches located in Hyderabad and Kolkata, and some were issued in Patna.

However, the most interesting information was given by the party's Bihar office which said that it was not aware of the details of donors of the bonds received at its Patna office on April 3, 2019, nor did it try to know because at that time There was no order from the Supreme Court.

10 bonds of Rs 1 crore each in the envelope

JDU said, “Someone came to our office in Patna on April 3, 2019 and was handed over a sealed envelope. When it was opened we found electoral bonds. The envelope contained 10 bonds of Rs 1 crore each.'' He said, ''As per the Gazette notification of the Government of India, we opened an account in the main branch of SBI in Patna and deposited it. After this, this amount was deposited in our party's account on April 10, 2019. Given this situation, we are unable to provide further information about the donors.

The party has also mentioned Shree Cement and Bharti Airtel as its other donors. In a statement given by the Samajwadi Party, a total donation of Rs 10.84 crore was disclosed. He said that he had received 10 bonds totaling Rs 10 crore by post (but there was no name). For the remaining amount, the Akhilesh Yadav-led party cited SK Traders, San Beverages, AK Traders, K S Traders, BG Traders and AS Traders as donors.
