Meghalaya Governor Satya Pal Malik has once again become an attacker on the central government regarding the issues of farmers. He has warned about the repealed three agricultural laws that the central government should not play with the farmers, otherwise they may all resort to violence to fulfill their demands. My advice to the Modi government is not to mess with the farmer as they are very dangerous people. Addressing an event in the Rajasthan city of Jodhpur, he said that farmers will get what they want, either through dialogue or fighting, or if necessary, even through violence. Malik said he might even lose his post for raising farmers' issues, but was not afraid to raise his voice or snatch the governor's post.

I am capable of taking on PM Modi: Malik

Malik said that the cultivators cannot be strangled. They know how to fulfill their demands. If the assurance given to them is not fulfilled, they will resume their protest. He, however, clarified that he has no "enmity" with the Centre. He said that I live in a one-and-a-half room house in Delhi, so I am able to compete with PM Modi on the issue of farmers.
