Police Seize Drugs: Delhi Police's Special Cell busted an international drug racket and arrested two Afghan nationals. This syndicate was associated with narco terrorism, which could use its money by selling drugs in terrorist activities against India. Special CP of the police HGS Dhaliwal said that 312.5 kg of Methamphetamine and 10 kg of fine quality heroin were seized on the spot of both the Afghans. The cost of these drugs is around Rs 1200 crore in the international market.

What did the police say?

Special CP HGS Dhaliwal told that both the Afghan nationals stayed in India as refugees and they had got their visas extended twice. The Special Cell of Delhi Police was monitoring these. Meanwhile, on the basis of an information, the police intercepted the car near Kalindi Kuz and arrested Afghan citizens Mustafa and Rahim Ullah. Rahim and Mustafa were interrogated by the police and recovered the rest of the consignment of methamphetamine and heroin from Noida and Lucknow in UP.

Where was the methamphetamine coming from?

According to the Delhi Police, methamphetamine was brought from Afghanistan via sea to Iran and then via Asab Sagar to the port of Chennai via Bangladesh. Afghanistan has become the new base of drugs named Methafetamine. After bringing these drugs from Chennai to Lucknow and then to the national capital Delhi, it was to be supplied to Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Rajasthan.
