BJP Nabanna March: On Tuesday, the BJP launched a Nabanna campaign against the Mamata Banerjee government in West Bengal. During this, there was also a clash between party workers and the police (West Bengal Police) at many places. In Kolkata, a police car was set on fire during the Nabanna Chalo march. Apart from this, stone pelting has also been done on the police in Howrah.

BJP's state chief Sukanta Majumdar has been detained in Kolkata amid the 'Nabanna Chalo' protest against the state government. During this, she said that the CM is scared, seeing the strength of the people gathered here, she has run away. Today only 30% are here, some of the rest were detained the day before.

Huge uproar in Bengal

Earlier, the Leader of Opposition in the West Bengal Assembly, Shubhendu Adhikari and Locket Chatterjee were taken into custody by the police while on their way to gherao the Secretariat during the Nabanna March. Police also used water cannons and tear gas shells to disperse the protesters. Demonstrations have been held at different places in Bengal under the Nabanna Chalo campaign.

The police did not give permission for the march

The BJP has launched a 'Nabanna Abhiyan' against the alleged corruption of the Trinamool Congress (TMC) government in the state. BJP supporters from across the state started reaching Kolkata and Howrah on Tuesday morning to take part in it. The police had detained several BJP workers for preventing them from going to Kolkata to take part in the Nabanna Chalo campaign. Actually, West Bengal Police did not give permission to BJP's Naban Chalo campaign. Despite this, the BJP has marched.
