New Delhi. Union External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar (EAM S Jaishankar) has hit back after billionaire investor George Soros commented on Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the Adani-Hindenburg issue. The Union Minister said, 'Soros believes that India is a democratic country, but the Prime Minister is not democratic. Some time ago, he accused us that we are trying to take away the citizenship of crores of Muslims, which apparently did not happen.

Apart from this, he said that Mr. Soros (George Soros Pm Modi Comment) is an elderly, rich and ash person, who is currently sitting in New York and thinks that his thoughts should decide how the whole world will run. Jaishankar further said, 'I can stop by calling Soros only old, rich and opinionated. But they are old, rich and opinionated as well as dangerous. When such people and institutions put forth an idea, they channelize their resources into building a narrative.

Jaishankar said, 'People like Soros feel that elections are good only when the person of their choice wins. But if the result of the election is something else, then they start calling the democracy of that country flawed. George Soros had claimed that there would be a democratic transition in India on the issue of Adani. It was said in the Munich Security Conference that India's case is interesting. India is a democratic country, but Narendra Modi is not democratic. India is a member of the Quad, in which Australia, America and Japan are also with it. But despite this, India is buying oil from Russia at a big discount and is making profits.
