Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar) Legislative Councilor Eknath Khadse has announced to leave the party. Had to resign from the post of minister

Eknath Khadse was a senior BJP leader in Maharashtra and a minister in the Devendra Fadnavis government. However, he had to resign from the cabinet in 2016 due to a land deal case. After this he was politically marginalized for about five years. After that he joined Sharad Pawar's party in 2020.

Eknath Khadse has expressed gratitude towards party chief Sharad Pawar for helping him during the crisis. He has said that I have decided to go back to BJP because this is my home. I have served the party for four decades. I express my gratitude to Sharad Pawar who helped me during the crisis.

When will elections be held in Maharashtra?

According to the schedule of the Election Commission, during the Lok Sabha elections, voting will be held in the first, second, third, fourth and fifth phases in Maharashtra. In this, in the first phase on 19th April on 5 seats, in the second phase on 26th April on 8 seats, in the third phase on 7th May on 11 seats, in the fourth phase on 13th May on 11 seats and in the fifth phase on 20th May on 13 seats.
