FIR Against BJP Media In-charge and Associate

Following the circulation of the offensive content, MP Priya Saroj approached the Cyber Crime Police Station in Jaunpur on Wednesday to file a formal complaint. Based on her statement and the evidence provided, the police have booked Amod Singh, the BJP District Media In-charge, and Advocate Vishal Singh. The duo is accused of using their social media handles on platforms like Facebook and Instagram to share and promote the fake, false, and artificial morphed images. The police have registered the case under 12 stringent sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Information Technology (IT) Act, reflecting the gravity of the offense.

Reacting strongly to the incident, MP Priya Saroj took to her official Facebook page to address the situation directly. " In her post, she stated that the BJP IT Cell in-charge and others were deliberately trying to create a false atmosphere and defame her by sharing AI-generated fake pictures. She characterized these actions not as legitimate politics but as a manifestation of fear and panic within the opposition ranks. She emphasized that such behavior against an elected woman representative must be met with the strictest legal consequences to set a precedent.
