Fire brigade vehicles brought the fire under control till 12 pm.

Villager Jaibir said that for the last five years, more than 50 slums have been settled in one acre, where more than 150 women, men and children live. Most people do the work of collecting junk. At around 10 o'clock in the night, suddenly a slum came in, which spread rapidly. Soon all the slums and the junk lying around started burning.

Gas cylinders kept inside the slums also started bursting. Four to five blasts were heard up to Bohar. The matter was reported to the fire brigade. Three vehicles of the fire brigade reached Sector five and two vehicles from the fire station located at Sonipat stand, but despite this the fire could not be extinguished.

A vehicle was called from Sampla at 11 pm. Even after two hours, the fire brigade's vehicle kept trying to douse the fire. The gate of a nearby house was also burnt due to the fire in the slums. The fire brigade was able to control the fire till late in the night.
