In a stunning twist, Abhishek Malik, the 20-year-old son of a property dealer, was arrested on Wednesday for the homicide of 4 individuals of his family in Rohtak on August 23. Property dealer Pradeep Malik, his spouse Babli Devi and his mom Roshni Devi have been shot dead at their residence in Vijay Nagar in Rohtak, whilst his 17-year-old daughter succumbed to bullet wounds at Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences on Sunday.
Superintendent of police Rahul Sharma informed journalists that Abhishek had admitted to killing his parents, sister and grandmother over a property dispute.
“The accused had stayed in a lodge before and after executing the crime. We can’t rule out the opportunity of the involvement of different people. The accused has confessed to committing the crime because of property and family disputes. We will verify the motives all through his remand,” the SP stated.
Senior police authentic, who's aware of the investigation, stated Abhishek had informed his maternal uncle, who lives nearby, that door of his residence was locked and no person was answering the bell. The uncle had requested him to break open the door.
“Next, he informed his maternal uncle that a few miscreants had shot at his own circle of relatives members and that he was rushing his sister to PGIMS. We were given suspicious about his role as he was changing his statements continuously,” the authentic added.
