A case of child marriage has come to the fore in Ajmer, Rajasthan. Surprisingly, here five minor couples were married together and no one was aware of it. The police administration swung into action after the wedding video went viral.


Pushkar Police has registered a case against the relatives of a minor. It is being told that out of the five couples who got married, one comes in the Pushkar police station area. In such a situation, the police has started the investigation of the matter. At the same time, information is being collected about the families of other couples.


According to the information received from the police, the video of the wedding was made by a photographer from Tilora village. This marriage took place on May 3 in Amritpura of Pisangan tehsil on Akhatij. The police also got information about the wedding procession of a minor groom coming from Dev Nagar village.


Pushkar Police Station is investigating the matter by registering a case. According to the report, a minor son of Devnagar village has been married to a minor resident of Amritpura village of Pesangan tehsil in Akhatij. It is an offense under the Prohibition of Child Marriage Act.


Surprisingly, the police and administrative officers did not get any information about the marriage of five minor couples that took place together in Ajmer. After the video surfaced, the police administration swung into action and started investigation. Ajmer District Superintendent of Police Vikas Sharma said that information about child marriage has been received. If this has happened, then action will be taken against the accused.
