The DGCA has stopped the crew of the aircraft, Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) and in-charge of the Maintenance Control Center of SpiceJet from working for the time being. Who gave permission to fly the plane from Durgapur in West Bengal. As a precaution, the DGCA is inspecting SpiceJet aircraft in the fleet.

The DGCA said in the initial report that 14 passengers and three crew members were injured in the incident. According to the report, he has suffered injuries on the head, spine, shoulder, forehead and face. At present, three passengers are hospitalized. Two of the three have been admitted to the ICU at the hospital in Durgapur with injuries to their head and spinal cord. Earlier, SpiceJet had said that 11 passengers were injured. There were 195 passengers and six crew members, including two pilots, on board the flight.

Earlier, Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia had tweeted that DGCA has sent a team to investigate the incident. The matter is being taken very seriously. Details about the reasons will be shared after the investigation is completed.
