Shanti Bhushan: Former Law Minister and Senior Advocate Shanti Bhushan has passed away. He has breathed his last at the age of 97. Shanti Bhushan's health was not going well for the last few days and he was quite ill. He breathed his last on Tuesday at his Delhi residence. The country's senior lawyer Shanti Bhushan served as the Law Minister of India from 1977 to 1979.

Shanti Bhushan's advocacy was so intense that he represented Rajnarayan in a famous case of Allahabad High Court. The result of this was that in the year 1974, Indira Gandhi had to leave the chair of the Prime Minister. Shanti Bhushan's son Prashant Bhushan is also a famous activist and advocate of the country.
