From today, women of Rajasthan will be given free smartphones under the Indira Gandhi Smart Phone Scheme.

From today, women of Rajasthan will be given free smartphones under the Indira Gandhi Smart Phone Scheme. Camps have been set up in different cities of Rajasthan for the scheme. Under this scheme, the women of the Chiranjeevi family will be provided with smartphone internet service. Camps have been set up at 28 places in Jaipur alone.

Women will be able to buy mobile phones of their choice

Let us inform that Ashok Gehlot, under his budget announcement 2022-23, had announced to give internet data along with free smartphone to the women heads of Janadhar card holder families. Gehlot government is going to give the gift of free mobile phone and free data under Indira Gandhi Smartphone Yojana. Smartphones are to be given to 1 crore 40 lakh women in the state. In the first phase, 40 lakh women will get mobiles. About 1 lakh 40 thousand smartphones will be given to women in Jodhpur district under this free scheme. CM has already told about this that in these camps a certain amount will be deposited in the bank account of the telecom company whose mobile is being bought by the woman head.

Under the Indira Gandhi Smartphone Yojana, a certain amount will be given by the government, if a woman buys a high-cost mobile, then the difference amount will have to be given to that woman personally.

What if bought at a higher price?

Rs 6125 will be given by the government for purchasing mobile and Rs 675 for purchasing data plan including SIM card. If a woman buys a phone worth Rs 5999, then the remaining Rs 126 will remain in her e-wallet. Which he can use anywhere according to his own. Similarly, if a woman buys a mobile more expensive than Rs 6125, then she will have to pay the difference amount from her pocket.

These documents will be needed

Some documents have to be given to get the smartphone under the scheme. To get the smartphone, women will have to bring their Janadhar card, Aadhaar card, PAN card and phone with the mobile number registered in the Janadhar card. Apart from this, girl students studying can bring school or college ID card or enrollment card with them, whereas widow women will have to bring PPO along with them.
