Honor killing in Mainpuri / Girl killed for love marriage, youth shot in forehead, attacker absconding

In Mainpuri, the girl was murdered for marrying a non-caste youth. The girl's brother and uncle entered the house in broad daylight on Tuesday and carried out the incident. The accused opened fire on the girl and her in-laws including her husband. The woman's husband has also been shot. After the husband was shot in the head, the accused fled, mistaking him as dead. The young man has been referred to the Medical College Saifai in a serious condition. The SP inspected the spot and gathered information. Teams have been formed to arrest the accused.

On April 20, both did love marriage

Komal Khatik, 22, a resident of Mohalla Bharatwal of Kotwali area, had a love marriage with Karan Goswami on April 20 in his maternal grandmother Aliganj with the consent of mother and maternal uncle. It is alleged that due to this the girl's brother Karan, uncle Dilip, Ravindra and Shani were angry. On Tuesday evening, around 4 pm, Komal's brother Karan and all three uncles entered the house through the terrace. As soon as they arrived, these people started firing. The newlyweds present in the house were shot. Komal died on the spot due to bullet injuries.

Youth shot in the head

After being shot on the forehead, the husband also fell on the ground covered in blood. The attackers injured the youth's mother Pinky and brother Rocky by beating them with the butts of the pistol. After getting the information, SP Ashok Kumar Rai inspected the spot and reached the hospital and inquired about the matter from the injured. The husband has been referred from the district hospital to the medical college Saifai in a critical condition.

SP Ashok Kumar Rai said that the search is on for the accused in the murder of the newlyweds. Three teams have been formed, soon the accused will be arrested and sent to jail.
