Several leaders of the Samajwadi Party (SP) have objected to the proposal to increase the minimum age of marriage for girls from 18 to 21. After Abu Azmi, Shafiqur Rahman Burke, now SP MP ST Hasan made strange arguments opposing the Centre's proposal on Friday. Hassan said that girls should get married when they are able to have children. In his arguments, he also said that with age, children start watching porn movies and indiscipline increases in them.

Talking to ANI, Hassan said, "The reproductive age of women ranges from 16-17 years to 30 years. Marriage proposals start coming from the age of 16. If marriage is delayed then it has two disadvantages, one is the possibility of infertility. The second is that when one gets old, the children do not settle down. Even when you are in the last decade of your life, your children are still students. We are breaking the natural process.

The SP MP said, "I believe that when a girl becomes mature and attains reproductive age, she should get married. If a girl attains maturity at 16, she can be married at 16. If she can vote at the age of 18 why can't she get married? Indiscipline increases when children grow up, when they start watching porn videos and photos.

The MP further said, "We have approved the live-in relationship, which shows that indiscipline has increased. Hormonal changes at this age can lead to crime. Earlier on Thursday, SP leader Abu Azmi had also said that increasing the age of marriage can lead to girls going on the wrong path. He had also said that this law is being brought by people who do not have children of their own. The opinion of villagers and tribals should be taken on this issue.

Burke also announced the protest, gave the argument of poverty, Akhilesh's edge

Earlier, SP MP Shafiqur Rahman Burke also announced his opposition to this proposal. He said, "India is a poor country and everyone wants to marry a daughter at an early age. I will not support this bill in Parliament. However, SP President Akhilesh Yadav shrugged off his MP's statement and said that his party is progressive. He said that his party has launched many schemes for the development of girls and women. "The Samajwadi Party has nothing to do with these statements," he said.
