Government's attitude towards Chinese companies is getting tougher. Recently, after banning 54 Chinese apps, now the Income Tax Department, taking a big action in the case of tax evasion, has raided many offices of Chinese telecom company Huawei. This information has been shared on Wednesday quoting sources in a report. It said raids were conducted at the company's premises in Delhi, Gurugram and Bengaluru on Tuesday.

Officers confiscated documents

According to the report, the Income Tax Department officials searched financial documents and books of the company to investigate tax evasion against the company, its Indian business and foreign transactions. Quoting sources, it has been said that the Income Tax team has also seized some documents from these places. However, the company has clarified itself from the allegations of tax evasion and said that its operations in India are being done completely under the law.

Get out of testing 5G services

The company issued a statement saying that information has been received about the Income Tax Department team visiting our various offices and interrogating some employees together. Huawei is confident that our operations in India are being conducted in compliance with all laws and regulations. Significantly, the government has kept Huawei out of testing 5G services.
