Delhi / Government's rule on the employees of 18 agencies, if something related to the department is written after retirement

New Delhi. The Central Government has issued a new order to maintain confidentiality among the officers. According to the notification of the Ministry of Personnel (Dopt), if the employees of 18 agencies write or bring out anything related to their department even after retirement, then their pension may be affected. This includes 18 agencies including CBI, IB, RAW, CAPF, Income Tax, ED, NIA, DRI, NCB.

According to the new rule, now there are restrictions on retired officers of the Security and Intelligence Agency. Even after retiring, you will not be able to write the facts related to the department nor will you be able to share it with the media. Failure to comply with this may also affect their pension. Permission of "Competent Authority" has to be taken for printing the facts or outside.

The government issued this notification after changes in the Central Civil Services (Pension) Rule of 1972. This change has been added to Pension Rule 8, according to which pension will depend on your future good conduct. It is clear that if you violate the new guidelines, then your pension may be in danger.

According to the Gazette notification of the Ministry of Personal Public Grievances and Pensions dated May 31, 2021, “Any Government Servant who has been attached to an intelligence or security agency and his organization falls under the second schedule of the RTI Act 2005 shall be deemed to be the existing Head of Organization. Without the permission of the organization, information or facts related to or coming under its purview cannot be printed. If these people, after retirement, you write a book on the facts related to the department, publish a letter or bring out any information related to that organization or coming under its purview, then their pension may also be affected. This includes 18 agencies including CBI, IB, RAW, CAPF, Income Tax ED, NIA, DRI, NCB. The people working in these agencies will also have to give an undertaking according to the new guidelines.
