According to the information received, earlier a proposal was made to give the post of coordinator to Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, but he refused to accept it.

Congress-SP tussle over seat sharing

After the January 9 meeting, a meeting between the two parties was to be held on Friday, but the meeting was canceled at the last moment. Samajwadi Party said that Congress was not prepared, but Congress said that their leaders will not stay in Delhi.

Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has shown little interest in giving up seats to Congress in Uttar Pradesh. Because Madhya Pradesh Congress chief Kamal Nath was not ready to give up 6 seats on the demand of Samajwadi Party in Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections. Now Akhilesh is giving his answer to Congress. Akhilesh Yadav is also said to be unhappy with the effort to include BSP chief Mayawati in the India alliance.

Similarly, in West Bengal also, Congress is not in coordination with the Trinamool leadership. Apart from this, Congress also did not form an alliance with Arvind Kejriwal's party Aam Aadmi Party in Delhi and Punjab. Because Congress wants to contest on a total of four seats in Delhi.
