In this meeting, all the parties have agreed to the proposal of making Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge the Chairman of India Alliance.

Important opposition leaders like Mamata Banerjee, Akhilesh Yadav and Uddhav Thackeray were absent from the meeting. Despite his absence, it is believed that a consensus has been reached regarding Kharge. According to the information received, earlier a proposal was made to give the post of coordinator to Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, but he refused to accept it.

Congress-SP tussle over seat sharing

Let us tell you that everything is not going well between Congress and Samajwadi Party regarding seat distribution. After the January 9 meeting, a meeting between the two parties was to be held on Friday, but the meeting was canceled at the last moment. Samajwadi Party said that Congress was not prepared, but Congress said that their leaders will not stay in Delhi.

Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has shown little interest in giving up seats to Congress in Uttar Pradesh. Because Madhya Pradesh Congress chief Kamal Nath was not ready to give up 6 seats on the demand of Samajwadi Party in Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections. Now Akhilesh is giving his answer to Congress. Akhilesh Yadav is also said to be unhappy with the effort to include BSP chief Mayawati in the India alliance.

There is a dispute between TMC and Congress also

Similarly, in West Bengal also, Congress is not in coordination with the Trinamool leadership. Apart from this, Congress also did not form an alliance with Arvind Kejriwal's party Aam Aadmi Party in Delhi and Punjab. Because Congress wants to contest on a total of four seats in Delhi. AAP leadership is not ready to give up so many seats for Congress. Even in Punjab, Arvind Kejriwal's party is not ready to give up seven seats as per the demand of Congress. Not only this, Aam Aadmi Party also wants to contest elections in Goa, Gujarat and Haryana.
