Adipurush Dialogue / HC's reprimand on Adipurush- 'At least spare the books like Ramayana-Quran'

Adipurush Dialogue: The Allahabad High Court has strongly reprimanded the Censor Board and the makers of the film regarding the film 'Adipurush' based on Ramayana. Advocate Kuldeep Tiwari filed a petition in the High Court against the film's making and objectionable dialogues. Today, on June 26, the court heard the petition. The case was heard in front of the bench of Judge Justice Rajesh Singh Chauhan and Justice Shriprakash Singh. The bench said that at least 'leave religious texts like Ramayana and Quran'.

Religious organizations raised questions regarding some of the dialogues in the film. There was a lot of ruckus on social media as well. Later, the makers talked about amending the dialogue. Thousands of dialogues of the film were written by Manoj Muntashir. Religious organizations asked him to apologise. However, Manoj Muntashir is saying in defense that he has heard Raman in this language from his grandmother. There was also a demand to ban the film. A petition was filed in the court on this demand.

Does the Censor Board not understand its responsibility?

According to media reports, senior advocate Ranjan Agnihotri told the court about the controversies surrounding the film. The bench asked advocate Ashwani Kumar, appearing for the Censor Board, what the Censor Board does. Film is the mirror of the society… What do you want to teach to the coming generations? The court asked advocate Ashwani Kumar whether the censor board understands its responsibility or not?
