New Delhi: Between the corona virus infection, a case of small intestine and large intestine hole has been reported due to White Fungus. Such a case has been found in Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in Delhi. The hospital claims that this is the first case in the world.

A 49-year-old woman's gut pierced

The 49-year-old woman was admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital on the 13th of the same month after having stomach ache and vomiting. The woman was suffering from cancer and underwent chemotherapy shortly before. When the woman underwent a CT scan at the hospital, a hole in the intestines was detected.

The hole was closed after four hours of surgery

Dr. of the Metoff Siver, Gastroenterology and Pancrypticobiliary Sciences Department of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital. (Prof.) Amit Arora said, 'After four hours of surgery, the holes in the woman's food pipe, small intestine and large intestine were closed. The leakage of liquids was also prevented only after this.

White fungus is the first case of a hole in the intestine.

Dr. Arora said that there have been some recent cases of black fungus piercing after steroid use. But this is the first in the world to have holes in the esophagus, small intestine and large intestine after covid-19 infection by white fungus.

Black fungus cases in the country are close to 12 thousand

With the corona virus epidemic in the country, black fungus cases are also increasing rapidly and the total number of black fungus cases across the country has so far reached 11717. The highest number of 2859 cases have been reported in Gujarat.
