The film has already sold over 1.3 lakh tickets on day one and the number is expected to touch 2 lakh by the end of Thursday. According to ticket aggregator BookMyShow, 3,00,000 tickets for the film have already been sold, with Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Jaipur, Patna, Pune, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru and Surat leading the way. Film biz critic Taran Adarsh is calling the film a lottery for distributors and producers. He says that after Shah Rukh Khan's 'Pathan', 'Gadar 2' is the only film of this year that people are eagerly waiting for.

'OMG 2' will also earn well

Meanwhile, the makers of Akshay Kumar's 'Oh My God 2' (OMG 2) are downplaying the film as Girish Johar reveals that they are not trying to garner much publicity. He is not overdoing it because he knows the kind of film it is. He knows that he cannot target the family audience as he has got an 'A' certificate. Even after this, people seem eager to watch the film. OMG 2 has sold 45,000 tickets on BookMyShow and Johar estimates an opening of Rs 8-10 crore for the film.
