Voting took place amidst violence, one candidate died

Counting of votes has started after the completion of voting in the general elections amid various incidents of violence in Pakistan. Voting began at 8 am yesterday and continued till 5 pm. A nationwide public holiday was declared for about 12 crore voters to participate in it. Voting is held for only 266 out of 336 seats in the National Assembly. But in Bajaur, voting was postponed after a candidate was killed in the attack.
